Services

Eight ways to put Richard to work for you.

Pick the one that fits where you are. Each one tells you what you get, how long it takes and what it costs. Not sure which? Start with a strategy session.

01

Strategy Session

One hour with Richard on the problem in front of you.

What you get

  • A 60-minute working session, by video or in person
  • His read on what you are facing and what he would do first
  • A one-page written summary of next steps within a week

Who it is for

A mayor's office, a superintendent, a hospital or agency director who needs a straight answer before spending money.

How it works

You tell us the problem. We set a time. You leave with a plan for the next 30 days.

02

Program Assessment

Find out what is working in your program, what is not, and what to fix first.

What you get

  • A review of how your program is built, staffed and run
  • Conversations with your team and the people doing the work
  • A written report: strengths, gaps and priorities in order
  • A briefing for your leadership on what it found

Who it is for

Cities, counties, hospitals and agencies that already run a violence prevention or reentry program.

How it works

We review your documents, talk to your people, and report back in writing and in person.

03

Program Design

A complete plan for a program built for your city, not copied from someone else's.

What you get

  • The model: who the program reaches and how
  • Staffing: who to hire, what to look for, how to supervise them
  • Training for the people who will do the work
  • What to measure, so you can show it is working
  • A budget outline you can take to your council or board

Who it is for

Cities, counties, hospitals and districts starting a violence prevention, hospital-based or reentry program.

How it works

We start with your city and your numbers, build the plan with your team, and stay through the launch.

04

Staff Training

Train the people who do the work, by someone who has done it.

What you get

  • A half-day or full-day session, on site or online
  • Training built around your staff and your community
  • Materials your team keeps
  • A follow-up call after your team has put it to use

Who it is for

Outreach workers, hospital staff, school staff, probation and corrections staff, and their supervisors.

How it works

Tell us who is in the room and what they face. We build the session around that.

05

School Partnership

A semester or a year of work with your students and your staff.

What you get

  • Conflict resolution training for staff and for students
  • Talks and assemblies through the year
  • A plan for the students most at risk, built with your counselors
  • A mentor program that pairs older with younger

Who it is for

Schools and districts with students at risk of violence, or caught up in it.

How it works

We meet your principals and counselors first, then set a calendar for the term.

06

Keynotes and Talks

A talk your audience will still be thinking about next week.

What you get

  • A keynote, an assembly, a panel or a fireside conversation
  • A talk shaped to your audience and your theme
  • Time for questions

Who it is for

Conferences, universities, schools, faith groups, companies and community events.

How it works

Tell us the date, the audience and the theme. We confirm and prepare.

07

Advisor on Call

Richard in your corner every month, for as long as you need him.

What you get

  • A set number of hours each month
  • Calls and meetings when something comes up
  • A review of plans, reports and hiring decisions
  • Someone to call in a bad week

Who it is for

Leaders running a program who want an experienced voice on call.

How it works

A monthly agreement. You can end it with notice.

08

Business and Generational Wealth

From surviving to owning: workshops on building a business and passing something on.

What you get

  • Workshops on starting and running a business
  • Building credit and getting ready for funding
  • What it takes to leave something for the next generation
  • Plain-language materials people keep

Who it is for

Reentry programs, community groups, schools and agencies serving people who are starting over.

How it works

We shape the workshop to your group, then deliver it on site or online.

Delivered with Steven Lawrence LLC

How it works

From first call to the work, in four steps.

  1. 1

    You tell us

Pick a service and fill in a short form. Richard reads every one himself.

  2. 2

    We talk

A first conversation, at no cost, to understand what you are facing.

  3. 3

    You get it in writing

A proposal with the scope, the schedule and the price. No surprises later.

  4. 4

    The work starts

On the date we agreed, with Richard leading it.

A straight word: no consultant can promise that violence stops. What we promise is honest work from someone who has lived it and built programs that reach people.
